Jennifer Rogers, Manager
has been at UK and a member of the RCO team since December 2010. She
has a journalism degree from Eastern Kentucky University and an MBA from
the University of Kentucky. She has extensive experience in writing,
editing, graphic design, web site management, marketing, branding and
public relations. An avid reader, Jennifer definitely “bleeds blue”
and loves traveling the globe.
Cathy Anthony, Editor
has been with the Markey Cancer Center since March 2012. She has a PhD
in anatomy from Vanderbilt University, and before coming to UK, was
actively engaged in cancer research at LSU Health Sciences Center in New
Orleans. Cathy has experience writing, editing, graphic design and

has worked at UK since 1988, and most of those years have been in
service to the Markey Cancer Center. She has a business administration
degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a strong background in
proposal development including budgeting, adherence to guidelines,
preparation of non-scientific proposal sections and
coordinating/compiling large multi-component projects.
Donna Gilbreath, Designer/Editor
has worked at UK since 1985 and has been with the Markey Cancer Center
since October 2009. She has an MA in geography and her interests include
public health geography and cartography. Donna has expertise in
mapping, information graphics and editing.
Terry Keys, Cancer Education Liaison
marketing, public relations, graphic design and event planning
professional, Terry coordinates the weekly Markey Research Seminar
series and other educational conferences/events throughout the
year. Terry also coordinates the annual Markey Cancer Center Research
Day, a campus-wide event that showcases cancer research across all
disciplines. A facilitator of Markey’s Patient Advisory Group, he
gathers patient and caregiver feedback to effect positive changes in
Markey’s patient/caregiver experience. Terry is an actor/singer who is
active in community theater productions.
Susan Quick, Editor
former magazine editor and cookbook author, Susie recently joined the
RCO after three years with the Gill Heart Institute. Her background
includes working for large consumer food and lifestyle magazines and her
interests include farming, horses, hound dogs and farmland protection.
Her expertise is in editing of manuscripts, web pages and grants, art
direction of print pieces, and coordinating CME conferences and special

Strategic Communications and an MA in Communications from the
